CS2 Servers down in Australia?

I'm searching for a game with a party and constantly keep getting the "Failed to locate official game servers with acceptable ping" prompt. Is anyone else having this issue?

So I've figured out the main issue. Just played a game on AU servers and 3 times during the game I lost connection. When I reconnected, I was routed through, Mumbai, LA & Singapore. Im assuming this is an issue where steam and or cs is miss placing player location.

So far successful fixes are as follows:

To get into AU servers: Settings - Download - Download servers - Brisbane (restart steam)

If at any point your are dc'd and join back with awful ping, Restart cs and join back as fast as possible. This seems to realign you with Au servers for at least the next 5 rounds.

I have succsessfully been able to play on OCE servers now after uninstalling an reinstalling, whist download server was selected as brisbane.

Give it a try, maybe brute force and some luck is also key.

Yeah thats bizarre, I have had success with the methods I listed on 7 accounts now. are you making sure your max ping is set to 50? settings - game - max acceptable ping 50 (or close to what your normal is)

I Tried everything, definitetly set max ping to 30, 40, 50... etc never made an effect.

Firewall settings, Vpns, reinstall was it for me

swapping from nz to melbourne did nothing, but swapping from nz to brisbane fixed it, although could be a coincidence as dalos says it's fixed now

People claiming fixed are unfortunately wrong. There is a chance you will be successful getting into AU but without doing your best to be sure of it, you'll still end up with the wrong server.

None of these fixes currently work for me. Had luck with one game today and after that nothing but the high ping warning/wrong servers. Yesterday same issue. Although I was able to get some games with friends who were the ones that did the searching. They for whatever reason are unaffected by this issue.

keep setting the download server as brisbane and restarting steam till it works, took me like 3 steam restarts till i got it

Day 3: Continually resetting regions in game before joining and I'm still having the same issue. I notice I will get the warning before a game but one in four or five games will give me no warning and it will be okay.

Very strange.
