You have gsync compatible monitor or gsync? Free sync? What resolution?
What input lag?
Latest drivers?
All this is quite important to know your issue in game.
300 fps is quite low on 4070 ti , I can do 450 on rtx 3080 on 1440 resolution medium graphics. (Unless you mean you are on 4k resolution then 300 fps makes sense.)
I am currently going max graphics 1440 resolution, 240 fps 240 refresh rate , 8-9 ms input lag.
188, 1 % fps.
And experience zero lag , stutters or tearing, actually even on crazy dpi settings everything is super smooth.
All I have is gsync compatible monitor.
I played few deathmatches and haven't found any difference in Smoothness all statistics are identical expect my ping.
I can see why deathmatch can be more demanding compared vs competitive but for 4070 ti it shouldn't make any difference since it doesn't even make difference for rtx 3080
Option 1:
Try limiting your fps to whatever your monitors refresh is multiplied by 2 assuming you can handle this fps at most times.
Option 2:
If you cannot do the first one, but you have gsync/compatible (if not go to 3), make sure you are playing cs2 in fullscreen and that it is on in nvidia control panel in the "Set up GSYNC" tab, you can also change it to work with borderless here
Then set the fps cap to a few frames lower than your refresh rate. I would recommend ~5 under, then turn on vsync. This eliminated 99% of tearing for me in every game I have tried it. Also, turn off reflex in game as it will not provide any additional benefit when using this method.
Option 3:
Nvidia control panel
Manage 3D settings
Program settings
cs2.exe; if it is not in the drop down menu, click add and it should be there, if it is not here either, add it by clicking browse and going to the exe where you installed the game.
Vertical Sync: SET TO "Fast"
This may add something you do not want, but it may just be placebo. So if you don't notice anything and this method works for you just use it. don't look it up ;)
hey thanks for your answer my refresh rate is 165 Hz using a BenQ MOBIUZ EX2710Q Gaming Monitor (27 Zoll, IPS, WQHD 165 Hz 1ms HDR 400, FreeSync Premium, 144 Hz kompatibel) which is definitely Gsync compatible, never had any issues on CS Go.
Right now playing on WQHD.
i alrdy checked on Nvidia COntrol Panel and normally i never ever had Vsync turned on ingame. Anyway thank you i will try it out
That monitor is no gsync compatible its free sync premium which is like gsync but for amd gpu. (Nvidia works as well)
(It's kind of like gsync but not actually since there is amd premium pro premium which is similar to gsync so ypurs is in between. )
But gsync would be better for rtx 4070 ti. Since nvidia still works better with nvidia software.
Just to be sure you are connected by display not hdmi right?
You sure you enabled free sync premium?
Ok mate u help me a lot if u manage to help me to fin how i enable Freesync, im running on DP not HDMI. on COntrol Panel Gsync is active but if i go into Display settings i cant activate Freesync cause its greyed out ... is it maybe Gsync is enabled?
thanks for your help, why u think my PC is overkill? i just built it myself with a friend and the components were very cheap at that time ^^
A lot searches say some radeon software is required (it works with nvidia and is for free sync control.)
The issue is that game can only display max fps to refresh rate so 300 fps only display 144 fps since this is your refresh rate , for your build to be effective you need 560 hz monitor or at least 240 hz so game looks smooth.
Right now you only display half the fps
So game tears and amd seems to fail to fix tearing. But even if you fix amd software the fundamental issue of your refresh rate is still same (you van only display 144 fps and you spend resources for 300 fps)

OMFG youre my Hero... due to the fact my Monitor wasnt compatible at first with Gsync i wasnt able to enable FreeSync because i was on 165 Hz, the moment i turned down to 144 Hz i was able to enable free Sync at 144 Hz then turning up to 165Hz and on Nvidia Control Panel Gsync, NOW it has no tearing anymore but mikrolaggs which are in Cs2 since start and all my friends have them every 10 to 20 seconds. Mate u made my DAY and a BIG thank you <3
