1. I agree with you on the trustfactor system, it is abused and punish greater players and put them into the same boat as the cheaters!
2. Ip/hardware ban is just straight out stupid, the internet got a limited ip adresses and it will just take two seconds to change both ip and hardware id by spoofing it !
What Valve could do to limit the chance of returning cheaters, is to requirer personal informations from Steam users, same info that I need to fill in anyways to buy a game here on Steam, that will limit the amount of fake accounts that is abused for Ai and limit the amount of cheaters that are able to return to the game again !
3. I dont think it would be a good idea if the anticheat was downloaded to people´s pc´s do to privacy reasons and do to the chance of it to get exploit ..
But what i think would be a great idea is to build it into the gameclient itself, that way you will not be able to overrule the anticheat solution and it will be alot easyer to do deep scans of the players pc in the hunt for cheat code´s on their machines, if people want to play competitive against other humans, then their going to agree that their systems are hardtime scanned to make sure their not cheating in the games their playing !
All with common sense would agree on thous 3 answers, the only ones that do not like this is people who got something to hide, Valve dont care about how much midget sex you are watching daily or how you look on your naked pictures, so the anticheat solution should only be active for as long the game is running and not all time as a seperate anticheat solution, that is why it should be build into the game as part of the gameclient & direct access to the vacnet so people cannot join a server if the game client is manipulated with !
I agree, there is to many hackers and cheaters in counterstrike 2 and there is way to many bugs and glitches for my machine to run it .. here last night i had a purple vision when i was trying to scope with the awp ... so the game got to many coding bugs & glitches for it to be made public !
You can't compare a game with low playerbase and low renown to CS2.
The greater a playerbase & higher the renown of a game is, the more ppl will work on developing cheats.
anyways I get your point.
I heard about a massive ban wave not sure if it is true or not. Maybe Valve is still holding out on purpose.. I mean CS2 Cheaters are even Livestreaming their cheat software.
I am heartbroken aswell.
Why don't you and your friend play face it instead?
If there was an easy fix, it would've been implemented already.
I want a man, in a suit, with a briefcase and a Glock standing behind every player just waiting for them to turn on a cheat.
