Because in that case you'd know there were very different movements and shooting compared to updated CSGO.
And also other devs make clones of their games and force people buy it again and again, while Valve just updated their game so people didn't lose their Prime, items, service medals, coins and so on. We got such update for free.
And a lack of content is just a matter of time. CS2 has much more content now than CSGO had on release.
You're not forced to play either, you're free to play whatever you want (you can still even play CSGO) if you don't want to play CS2.
Because it's redundant to split the players for basically the same game, also not sure how skins would work if they were on two separate games
So this is how you see it.
And this is how I see it:
- Finally nice working hitreg, no magic CSGO's "0 hits" after spraying right into enemy. The best thing Valve did with CSGO for 10 years.
- Very nice optimization, so 300fps feel very smooth, when in CSGO 600fps felt like 60fps.
- Better graphics and user interface. Beautiful Inferno.
- Some guns got better sounds (only AK sounds worse imo).
- Better smokes and no one-way smokes anymore. Nice.
- In general CS2 feels 1000 times better than CSGO. After trying CS2 Beta, even stopped playing CSGO because it felt really trashy after CS2.
- Didn't get affected by lack of content since I don't play weird gamemodes nor community servers. Played coop maps with friends for fun, but it can wait for sure.
Am I glad I got all of that for free and even got my items and coins moved to CS2? Of course I am. It is literally the best update of CS series since CS 1.6.
Ah yes, the new graphics enchantment is so much content that everyone asked for. Gameplay core is totally broken and people who are not paying attention to actual gameplay and care about graphics will milk this bs. The game is missing core gamemodes and lack of convars. And the fact that you give valve time to put back same content that already existed just to make people think it's new thing ye sure lets wait another 1 year for dangerzone or retake to comeback and then be like "Valve is doing great they added new stuff". To be honest if Valve rather release the CS2 as optional till it didn't reach same stuff as CSGO has it would be fine, but forcing people to instantly switch and have no option to play some other modes just show how much they don't care about other people.
If I paid for a gtx 1650 and an i3 12100f with a single stick of ddr4 8gb ram along with 256gb of SATA ssd storage and then I got a rtx 4090 and a 13900k with 64gb with 2 sticks of fast ddr5 ram and 4tb of fast gen 5 NVME storage, I'd be okay with it. Especially if I paid the price for a gtx 1650.
Just letting you know that exactly core gamemodes are in CS2.
Retakes, and especially war games with danger zone are not core gamemodes, though retakes is pretty good for practice.
Launch Counter-Strike 1.6 and check which is actual core gamemode is. It is the current Premier / Competitive or Casual.
Somehow I don't think the dedicated servers that are currently running are below the minimum specs required to start the game engine.
Are you really doing it ?
