PC shutting down by itself while playing
Good afternoon, it's not been more than 30 minutes since my PC out of nowhere shut down, I don't know why this is happening, can anyone tell me?

My configuration: Ryzen 3300X processor, 16GB RAM, A320MH motherboard, Radeon rx6500xt video card, 500W supply

Often a sign of overheating. Clean it.

*or your psu is dying.

Pick one.

It is also happen to me. Not just here, but in other games also. I thing that it is something related to Linux Kernel. At least in my case.

As said above, generally a sign of the PSU having issues. Though it is possible that there is a motherboard failure. Sudden power loss (not a stop error or kernel panick) where it simply turns off is rarely a software issue (though not impossible)

is it happening only in this game? do you get BSOD/black screen or just a complete shutdown?
what's the driver version?
what do the CPU+GPU temps look like?
i'm assuming the PSU is a cheap bronze unit but even then it shouldn't have issues running this CPU + GPU combo in max loads so to narrow it down can you specify the PSU brand and do you have a spare GPU laying around?

maybe you have overheating protection ON in BIOS and when you PC is overheating you PC shut down

Your pc is overheating and shutting itself down

You should check thw thermal paste or something like that, thats what everyone tells me to do

off topic i have to mention 6500xt is a terrible choice having only 4 Lanes so it comes with limited bandwidth that can only get max performance out of 4.0 PCIE lanes meaning your mobo that only supports up to 3.0 PCIE is gimping down your performance significantly.

Good afternoon everyone, so, my PC has had thermal paste cleaned and changed since March, it only happens in CS, other games like ETS2 for example, remain stable and running clean.

This is a problem for me as well. I bought a new (more powerful) PSU and my PC still shuts off and restarts itself. Doesn't even enter the bios after restart. Boots windows like nothing ever happened. This only happens when I begin playing a graphics heavy game. Temps are fine on GPU and CPU. Always keep my PC clean as a whistle. Please help me.

Sounds like a factory reset may be the only option in these cases unfortunately.
