why would you updae a gram everyay i dont have infite space on my PC
Right now CS2 is receiving a lot of updates as it was release to the public and has a much larger audience than the alpha/beta provided so more bugs are found and along with new updates to the game.
We have a lot of content that is still missing from CS, so expect updates to keep coming out for the years to come!
Do update game: Omg they just can't decide right, they are so trash and can't dev properly
Hell, I run 1 SSD just for the OS, another SSD for my games, and have an old school spin disk for storage.
say that a map called "map1.vpk" had a bug in it, an unintended pixel walk
file size of "map1.vpk" on your computer is 500 megabytes
file size of the updated map is 500 megabytes (they just moved something around)
you download 500 megabytes, Steam deletes your local map file and places the downloaded "map1.vpk" instead of the old version of it
and that's it! total used space didn't increase, you did need 500 empty megabytes of space for the download to finish though
by the way, CS:GO's size was bigger than CS2's current size.
I'm not a game developer and I simply used common sense to get to this conclusion, think a little bit b4 opening discussions...
Because it's full of bugs, we have to get fixes every now and then. Not saying that the fixes are the problem, but releasing a hot garbage state of a game is valve's mistake in the first place. Don't get me wrong: I'm glad that they are WORKING HARD to fix it, but it's like trying to patch a bucket full of cracks right when it is currently used in a chemical lab, leaking it's content here and there without pulling it out of action. It won't be pretty.
FYI, some of Early Access title did better than CS2. CS:GO should been up for now until CS2 is polished out enough to get into public but well, valve wanted to rush, so again, here's what we got.
When you play CS2, just think it's an Early Access game, or even worse, a technical test of a game full of garbage and bugs, and just play. Whatever the inconvenience you are having, just heed no attention from it. It's more taxing to pay attention to those stuff than to work in real jobs.
I know it's frustrating, but don't let it get to you. It's not worth it, save your strength and emotion (and even sanity). No matter how many of us complain about it, valve won't magically fix everything in one day.
Instead of complaining; take it or leave it. If you can't stand the game condition (like me), reduce your time playing and play something else worth more of our time.
As for me, I just play time to time for weeklies and reduce my time in CS2, saves my time getting frustrated with these stuff while I have limited time to game. Playing CS2 just enough and play other games meanwhile is what I could think right now, and probably you should do the same until they polished CS2 enough. Lot of better games out there, and I can use my time better and most importantly, having fun in the said games.
Again, and as TL;DR: just think CS2 current state of a game is a premature, buggy state of a game that full of bugs and need to be constantly patched. Play CS2 with that in mind.
