in-game my GPU temp is around 65, but in menus it shoots up to 75 or 80.
I read somewhere that currently CS2 doesn't let AMD GPU's set fps_max below 64 for some reason.
So I wonder if they also have a similar limitation on fps_max_ui which is causing this.
i have set limit in nvidia settings, not some console command ... therefore you're wrong.
i have 60fps at all times, unlike you, i actually have FPS displayed on top of game.
its 60 while in menus and 60 while i play, yet in menus my GPU usage is about 50% higher than while playing.
this doesn't even make sense. AMD and nvidia both have settings in control panel to limit every program's max fps, it overwrites game settings .. that's the purpose of those settings.
And I do indeed have my framerates showing with mangohud. Uncapped both, 200ish in game and 145 in menus, meaning the menus are about 25% heavier not taking cpu into account.
I still think fps_max_ui is getting ignored or something. Because even if I set it to 10 the UI is still smooth, there's no way it's rendering at 10fps.
