Limiting cases to just ONE per week was a huge mistake

I mean, what's the logic behind that? Everybody loses:

–I get less income due to less cases to sell.
–There's less supply for buyers.
–Even Valve gets less money due to less cases around.
–People no longer get free kills with idle players.
–Less idle players around to help farm cases (for themselves or others).

Why hasn't this decision been reverted?

If you want to farm cases , make more alts .( on 1 PC )
The only thing that you will lose is medal progress .

yeah it really makes me not want to play more thne i have to jsut to get my one drop, game was better when drops were just random.

Well, this is a gripe I had since like 3 months ago when they decided to change that... It's just more noticeably annoying over time. That's a personal gripe of mine of CS:GO.

Regarding CS2, though... I'm actually worried about the absurd amount of things I can no longer do overall since the transition alone, gameplay or otherwise.

Huh... How is it wrong (honest question)? I haven't seen the cases have any fluctuation or rise in value aside from just a few days ago when CS2 launched (if that's the approach you meant). Granted, I don't know much about investments, so I'd be glad to hear your suggestions/observations.
