Why wouldn't map show the callout names?
I'm trying to broaden my horizons in the new CS2. by playing every map instead of just the ones I like. I'm probably not the only person.

But anyways, my major problem with branching out to "new" maps, is that I have NO IDEA what any of the callouts are, so I end up being a mute SOB, which I hate more than anything. People who don't talk ruin most games in my humble opinion, so I hate to be the person I've despised for so many years.

Anyways all this is just to say, Why the f* aren't the callouts listen on the Shift+M map? There's no good reason, if people don't know the callouts then they'll only make the game less fun for themselves and others, so is it just an oversight?

Adding a simple text box to the map overlay sounds like the easiest fix in the world, right?

Thanks for reading

If you look below the radar at the top left, it does.

To be fair, I'm sortof busy when I'm at that spot.. It's only after the rounds ended where I can look at the area I was in.

Again, my whole argument is WHY NOT? are we gatekeeping knowledge? Just write it on the map for F* sake so we can all learn it at once and not have to play this team-debilitating game, right? There's absolutely no reason not to, so why?

After you learn them, the extra information can be excessive and in the way. It takes no effort to glance up left periodically and see where you are at. You really should be doing that anyway just to look at the radar and keep an eye on what is going on. Not enough people are and have zero situational awareness. A lot of matches are lost because people aren't paying attention to the rest of the map and get flanked.

Nah It's pretty amateur not to have them on the map like Valorant. Very lazy developing went into CS2. They don't even have a map ping system. And it's not like you can say that it's coming to the game. It's been out way too long. It's abandoned other than new skins for $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. Valve is just greedy
