Frame generation is literally sticking frames in that the software thinks will fit. So a guy could be moving, and stop, and the game will generate his position further ahead than where he actually is, then skip back.
Terrible idea to add to the game.
What you're thinking about is extrapolation, where fsr and dlss make frames using an interpolation algorithm.
