Petition to add true surround sound speaker support

For years I've gamed with a properly calibrated 5.1/7.1 surround sound system. It allows me to enjoy outstanding immersion and audio clarity in a variety of games, including first person shooters like counter strike.
Que counter strike 2, which has for some reason removed ALL audio options and forces the player to use headphones and their weird audio engine that sounds terrible on anything BUT headphones.
There is literally no reason to at least give the player the option of using speakers. This takes nothing away from headphone users.
Please, for the love of Gabe, add back surround sound speaker configuration support.

You have an audio slider for L/R difference. I suppose that also affects the 5.1/7.1 speakers

It has nothing to do with support for multiple speakers, it literally just blends or separates the left and right channels for headphone cucks.

Absolutely right! For me, the game has become almost unplayable. What is the problem with continuing to support surround sound?

The only real excuse is that they can't figure out how to have conventional sound support with their new headphone-only technology, but that would make them seem like incompetent programmers.
Maybe they can implement it, but they think their user base is too stupid to set the settings properly for their specific situation?

I don't understand why they removed the CS2 5.1 surround sound support. It should be a standard feature for AAA games. Even Dota2 has also discontinued its 7.1 surround sound support.

At least in Dota 2 you can use speaker_config to set it, I can't even change that in CS2.

I'm also looking forward for proper 5.1 Surround Sound support.
There are people who own their own house & ground, not just an apartment.
Playing with headphones is fine but when you invest alot into a custom build surround sound setup with higher quality speakers, amps & expensive subwoofer the Sound experience is truly something else.
