Server routing

why does my cs2 just randomly route me through random servers that make no sense? I get 38 ping to sydney servers but it will route me threw guandong and Seattle making me have 1000+ ping. Is there a fix to this?

Same I got the same issue, Its better if I go directly to sg but it routed me to tokyo

any fix yet? its so frustrating. i normally have a < 5 ping on frankfurt server but now it routes me through random countries even if i literally live right next to the frankfurt server. now i get like 40+ ping for no reason... it worked for 10 years in csgo totally fine but in cs2 its ♥♥♥♥♥♥ :/

I don't have this problem. Routing working fine for me. Maybe try to lower your rates? It's on the highest by default now.

For anyone struggling, this is a quick attempt on a fix: go to your setting, set your acceptable ping into 50

This should help, or at least, deter the routings out.

but was only fixed for sydney, right? I'm in Spain and I think my problem comes from bad geo location from Valve, they think im in Romania so I got routed by vienna instead of going directly to spain servers
