Why Replace CSGO?
I personally believe they forced CS2 on the community and replaced CSGO because they knew a majority would prefer to stay on CSGO while they worked out the issues with CS2. That's the only logical thought pattern I can think of to explain replacing CSGO.

Again with this whole "everything changes" narrative. I'm not opposed to change but point out flaws in changes or else nothing changes for the better. This whole game reeks of poorly rushed changes and has missing features left and right lol. But of course, keep eating it up.

CS:GO is way superior to this half-backed wanna be CS, if this is the future there's no future for CS.

People will adapt once the game is more-less polished. Only thing I don’t understand is why would you release an unfinished game and force people to play it by removing CSGO. I understand that they’ve had a deadline so they wanted to release it asap, but now people are forced (well, not really) to play a game, where half of the maps and game modes are missing. Weird decision on their side, but the numbers are good.

I really think it's because they knew the majority of players would prefer to play a polished version of CSGO rather than have to fix kinks in CS2

I could genuinely see valve Making CSGO its own branch so they can make sure CS2 is the game main game. CSGO could come back but it wont get much updates or Official servers cause those would be on CS2
Your analysis is spot on – the only people strongly in favour of the unfinished revamp spend more time on these threads than they ever do in-game.

I'd be totally fine if they put most of their efforts into CS2, but I don't wanna play until it's figured out so I'd rather stick with CSGO
