CS2 Linux 4:3 Stretched "Mouse Scaling issues?"
This Thread is more directed to someone at Valve than to community members since i believe that its a bug within CS2 itself and only they can fix it.

The issue boils down to this:
When CS2 is in 4:3 Stretched (FULLSCREEN WINDOWED - the only display mode i managed to get stretched) the following behavior can be seen:

When in any part of the UI, including the "Pause menu", triggered by "ESC" mouse "scaling" is normal and no issues are present - however when in-game as in loaded onto a map:

When i move my mouse slowly to the left side it moves a very small distance (if at all), and when i do it fast it moves normally, HOWEVER when mouse is moved to the right the issue is not present.
It's like for some reason i have some heavy mouse acceleration enabled when moving my characters camera left - again note that when i press ESC bringing up the pause menu the mouse works there normally as well as in any UI element.

Note: when moving the camera left, i checked at the same time Mouse properties (scripts) mouse accel or any of its other properties where not modified when in-game starting to move mouse left or stoping.

Spec + Settings:
Distro: 6.5.5-arch1-1
GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6650 XT
CPU: Intel i7-8700 (12) @ 4.6GHz
WM: awesome (also tested and replicated on gnome with its built-in composition)
Composition pipeline: NONE
Mouse accel in WM/Xorg: Disabled
Vsync in-game: Disabled
Vsync system wide: Disabled
FSR: Disabled
Display: 1920x1080 60Hz (1)
Launch options: 1 script + gamemoderun (issue happens with and without launch options present)
Launch script:
export DISABLE_LAYER_AMD_SWITCHABLE_GRAPHICS_1=1
ICD_DIR="/usr/share/vulkan/icd.d"
export VK_ICD_FILENAMES="${ICD_DIR}/radeon_icd.i686.json:${ICD_DIR}/radeon_icd.x86_64.json"
Every other in-game setting set to as low as possible

Better open an issue on GitHub:

https://github.com/ValveSoftware/csgo-osx-linux/issues

They use the CS:GO repository for CS2.

do you have a second monitor or more?

Have this same issue, not just in 4:3 but in 16:9 too, when set to a lower resolution than my monitor's native 1080p.

Also, for some reason changing resolutions in Fullscreen mode just blackscreens the game for me (i mean that the game is open and working, and there's sound if i move the mouse over the UI, there's just no video), so i suspect that the mouse issue is specifically related to Fullscreen Windowed mode.

Like, you know that thing when games (especially older ones) use lower resolution than that of your monitor you can sometimes catch your mouse being pinned to the top left corner of the screen, especially if you ALT+TAB? Yeah, well it seems that that's why our mouse doesn't really want to move to the left or up, but right and down is fine.

After looking at issues on github i found this ( https://github.com/ValveSoftware/csgo-osx-linux/issues/3342 ) so probably they are going to fix it soon.

When it comes to your game blackscreening, if i were you i would try (that is if you have a way do it on your WM) things like forcing the game window via WM into "floating window class" and off of it, then same with forcing into fullscreen state and off of it then again into it (you might want to also check states of window focus etc).

A few years back had a simillar issue with other game (cant quite remember which one) and it seemed to remove the issue until the next restart for some reason, not sure its gonna work here but worth a shot i guess.

what i did is just forced a 4:3 output on my os, and told the monitor to stretch it itself. works cause why wouldnt it but kinda annoying that i have to switch res everytime i want to play cs2.

if u dont know how, you can just use xrandr and maybe cvt - depending on setup.
