CS2 Smoke / Molotov FPS drops

Anyone else experiencing drops when it comes to smokes and molotovs being dropped? And does the particle quality setting in the options affect them at all or is that just for ambient effects already on the map.

Specs:
Windows 10 Pro
NVIDIA GeForce® RTX 2070 Max-Q
Intel® Core™ i7-10750H
16GB RAM

yeah, my fps go from 240 to 30 when im near a molotov that gets extinguished.

nope I have constant 200 fps even if I have 6 fires around me at same time and shooting when jumping.

Same for me, i have 200-240 fps in average, but when there are few smokes drop near - fps dpos to 70-100 :(

Resolution? that seems unrealistic to me. Stop using cl_showfps... use msi afterburner or amd overlay with 1% drop. And you'll see real average fps, I think you'll have something around 120 on average. And then you'll also see real molotov drop.

yes, my fps drops too, but the game continues smoothly. what details are you using?

Using primarily High settings, Ambient Occlusion and Particle Detail set to medium. HDR is also set to performance

Did you try put everything to low if the isue IS still here?
Also if youre competetive gamer use low particle detail bc you can see more trought grenades.

Same fps drops from 240 to 150 when match starts and as soon as smokes or molotovs appear it drops to 20 - 30 fps

Fps drops are your cpu struggling to keep up

it's a performance issue, they will prob fix soon or later

I doubt CPU that scores 16717 points in Cinebench has any struggle to keep up. Makes the CPU better than most people with gaming rigs have.

molotov and smoke makes my fps drop by 25%.

the only reason i have to play on low even though i get 300+ fps on max settings is due to molly and smoke make the movement sluggish around mollys and smokes.
