Performance issues on AMD GPUs?
I've been having some rather nasty performance issues which I believe are related to shaders, at least according to third parties who seem to have similar issues. I've got an RX 6600 paired with an i3-10105f (4c-8t) and 32 gigs of RAM. Theoretically, this should run CS2 pretty perfectly, and this build runs whatever you throw at it at a decent framerate.

However, this is not the truth. The game runs steadily at 150+ FPS with a mix of settings (I use x4 MSAA because the game looks really awful otherwise, for some reason), but generally during the first minutes of gameplay and for a while after, the game will stutter massively whenever I shoot, hit an enemy, get shot, set off a nade, etc.

This is really annoying. Is anyone else experiencing anything similar?

RX 7600, I've got a few stutters on initial games - looks like it was some shader compilation. Now everything is smooth on 200-250 fps. I guess it could be more, but probably 12100f is the limiting factor here

It's a 10105f, and it's certainly not a limiting factor due to the fact the game runs smoothly after caching shaders. You're not the first person to tell me that maybe the i3 is an issue, and I'm honestly baffled by this because it implies that the i3 is like a Pentium or something, when it's pretty much comparable to an older gen i7 in most technical aspects.

Even then, this shouldn't be an issue on a game running on an engine that's already a decade old and that asks for a first gen i5 as minimum requirements, and in any case the game would never be capable of running at 150+ FPS if it was a CPU issue.

can you guys tell me if cs 2 uses Directx12? And if so how can I switch it to Directx11? I always had issues with 12

Pretty sure it's running on DX11.

its on Dx11
12 would be way to intensive for a competitive game, 12 is way to harsh on performance even on singleplayer games let alone csgo

its not the gpus issue, its the game not being well optimised

I have this build, but I have no issue with it whatsoever, its smooth for me. I guess something to do with cs2, i think??
