Linux and bad working mouse
Hi.

Under Linux(ubuntu 22.04) i have issues with mouse.
It has dead zone where no movement is registered.
If i set low DPI on mouse(800 and lower) i can move mouse over whole mouse-pad but cross-hair will not move.

If i change mouse sensitivity to 1500 2000 this dead zone is present, however it is very small.

Especially it is noticeable, when i try to move mouse up.
It simply freezes.

Can anyone test it too?

Mouse 1: Logitech G502.
Mouse 2: Office hama something.

Best regards

Xubuntu 22.04. Razer Lancehead.

Tested briefly today. Didn't really had any problems with the mouse. Found the mouse very slow in the default settings. Simply adjusted. Do you use Steam via snap or from the repository?

Stupid question: On the desktop the mouse works normally?

Same issue, guess its a game bug related to linux system. Everything ok in desktop, cs2 menu, but not in the game.
If i use fullscreen scaled resolution mouse movement is not working properly, same as you mentioned.

You should try to use native resolution in game settings. I prefer to wait bug fix.

Weird. I have a super low dpi (250) and a g502 as well and it works very well. Are you on x11 or wayland?

I'm using Ubuntu Mate with X11.
And i have not native Resolution too, like mentioned user @cbrjnk.
My Display is 4k (3840*2160) and I'm playing in 2k (2560*1440).

Do you also have the effect when you use your native resolution in CS? Just for testing.

Yep.
I think there are even more issues.
1) If i set resolution of screen on OS level to 2k (like in game) and same 2k in-game - mouse works.
2) is i set resolutions lower, mouse begins to lag.
I can stable reproduce it.
3) Depending of resolutions, mouse sensitivity changes.
It looks like raw input in cs2 is missing.
In TF2 mouse sensitivity is not changing when i change resolutions.

Have you looked if others have reported similar issues? See:

Damn.
I have same issues:
https://github.com/ValveSoftware/csgo-osx-linux/issues/3342
https://github.com/ValveSoftware/csgo-osx-linux/issues/3282

This github (ValveSoftware) is official form Valve?
And works as bug-tracker?

Yes. But only for Linux related stuff. Devs reading along. Is the best way to report bugs to Valve under Linux.

Thanks!
I have written info from me to the ticket.

I hope Valve workers will see it and fix.
