I verified integrity of game files, now it prompts a USER ACCOUNT CONTROL prompt every time i want to play
as the title says, I deleted a ton of old csgo community maps to clear up space. These are like surf maps, kz maps, and ze maps. So i removed those and then verified integrity of my game files just in case i deleted something i should not have.

I readded like 3900 files apparently, so i was like ok wtf but i am happy i got them back.

I launched the game, and got the UAC prompt. Cool, no big deal this happens with any steam game you just do the verify files thing....

However it's not going away... i keep getting it...

I uninstalled the game, and the UAC prompt keeps coming back. I even click NO instead of YES on the prompt, and the game still opens with no issue and i can play like normal... what is going on?

To fix it:

Download the June 2010 DirectX Redist from Microsoft, as its the one listed in the CS2 depot on SteamDB

Create a folder in the game install folder called "directx_installer" without quotes. Eg. "steamapps\common\Counter-Strike Global Offensive\directx_installer"

Place the DirectX redist in that folder and rename it to "DXSETUP.exe"

Run the game and it will successfully install it now, meaning it wont ask again for admin permissions to install in the future.
