Mac support (working kinda)

So I saw so many people complaining about how mac doesn't work with cs2. Until the devs find a way for it to work the best bet for right now is porting kit.

Download porting kit, (just google it) head to library once it's installed and you open it. Search for steam and download whichever one you want. Im not sure if all of them work but i'm using "Steambuild 64bit/D3d11"
Note: If you want to play old games or something just before you open it, right click it, click properties, then in the target box copy and paste in '"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steam.exe" -allosarches -cef-force-32bit' (This may only work with the 64bit/D3d11)
Open steam through porting kit (it should show up on your launchpad too) then sign into steam (this should be safe many people have done this incase you're worried) then find cs2 and download it. Once its downloaded it should work.

I suck with these but hopefully people see this and it helps. If theres any issues just say something and ill see what could have went wrong or just any issues in this.

Really you could just use bootcamp in your launchpad (boot camp assistant) and just install windows and you can play cs2 and other games on your mac that need windows to skip all of this if you want to.

Your best bet for cs2 on mac would be a windows emulator or just boot camp, which is built in and free.

EDIT : I'm able to launch the game, but I cannot connect to official VAC server due to file integrity problem, I'm not sure we will be able to bypass file verification process thru Wine :/

If it doesn't work try boot camp. It installs windows on your laptop and is built into your mac. It should work

it worked but whenever u try to join an actual game it says it like detected a cheat or something

works for me but only in bot matches. get anti-cheat error when trying to join actual games. doesn't go away even after verifying the integrity of the files
