Why did Valve replace csgo?

I do feel pretty upset since Replacing a game for a better version has often such a bad aftertaste. Just look at blizzard.

Honestly it was not a smart move from Valve. I mean i can be quiet since im a retired player with less than 1k hours in csgo but i will miss csgo. Many will

Probably to make the inventory thing easier. But I agree that it isn't the smartest move to replace CSGO, as many people had fun on CSGO community servers with maps that worked well in exactly that game.

I was mad too, but give CS2 a shot. It actually runs pretty well even on my old potato PC. I'd say on low/medium settings, it runs just as well as CS:GO did and I have a Ryzen 5 3600X 3.8Ghz CPU with a GTX 1050 2GB graphics card lmao.

thats a good point with skins etc. but we dont need skins in csgo anymore when everyone plays cs2

If they made an entire new game (actually updated core mechanics and stuff and preventing user abuse in settings) then people would leave the game.

This way, they also get to keep all the people that mass invested into their gambling scheme (since they still have their skins etc)
This is more than anything, just a graphics overhaul with minor changes to gameplay

I have over 400 fps on medium/high settings.. its not like its demanding or anything

I don´t have a high end machine, I have a high mid tier machine and I play 1440p

It's not just gameplay stuff. I spent so many hours trying to get as many of the achievements as possible, and now it seems like they've all gone poof. Didn't even get asked "Hey, do you want to update to CS2?", it just replaced itself in the steam library, even before it actually downloaded.

You can still play csgo, just like in css and cs 1.6 you can only play community servers, private lobbies, workshop maps.

They just removed the official csgo servers because of course
