cs 2 windows 7
After updating cs go in cs2 the game stopped opening, although yesterday everything was great and I could play. Is it possible to play on Windows 7 or is there no way to play on this OS?

Sorry for off-thread, but did you play CS2 on Windows 7 before?
And since when did you play CS2 on Windows 7?

And most likely to play CS2 you have to update to Windows 10, since CS2 is not supporting Windows OS below 10 anymore.

People can launch CS2 on Windows 7 but end up triggering the anti cheat and get a game ban as a result of that.
I would upgrade to 10 simply as they clearly stated that Win7 won't be supported anymore and Steam will drop support for 7 as well.

You can play against bots if you double click cs2.exe.

There isn't a performance difference in win7, 10 and 11. You can easily use win10. I even upgraded the 2008 laptop from my mother to windows 10 years ago and it works very good.

There is no reason to stay on win7. It is worse in any aspect beside performance where it's both the same.

Also win7 doesn't get any security updates for a long time and will be officially dead in few weeks.

The only reason why people are on win7 because either they fear change and may not be able to upgrade because they don't know a lot of computer or because they are so used to win7 and mentaly block win10 because they think win7 is so much better (which objectively isn't in any case at all).

So to solve your issue simply upgrade to windows 10.

Why do you clowns still use Win7? Its dead, its been dead. Stop being stupid.

I had windows 8.1 and cs2 limited test didn't work. Then I have upgraded to windows 10, it worked. So minimum operating system requirement must be Windows 10. But if you have an old laptop like mine(10 years old), don't bother trying to play cs2 because even with low settings, it's unplayable. I will have to forget cs2 until I get a new pc.

I wouldn't recommend trying to get it work, I played one game and am now permanently banned from CS2. The common factor between me and other players with similar fates is Windows 7.

dont try it, u will get banned

I've used Windows 10 extensively. It's a massive turd, to the point where I'm strongly considering reinstalling under Win7 for a video capture and streaming box, because somehow Windows 10 can't even do that right.
I'd run linux, but the capture card doesn't have floss drivers, so I'm SOL on that front.

People don't like windows 10 because windows 10 is a pile of garbage. Windows 11 looks to be even worse from what I've read about it. It's not "fear of change", it's "annoyance of garbage".
