Steam manipulating its own review policy?
I get this is replacing CSGO, but it seems shady that Steam has made a sequel to a game and its still using the older games store page.

It seems Valve themselves are artificially influencing the review score. Since the reviews have carried over from CSGO. The review score will not accurately reflect the new game.

Small example. What if Payday 2 just became Payday 3 and the reviews were left intact. They would still have a very positive rating and would be very misleading to others given all the issues the game currently has.

This shouldnt be allowed. Its a sequel and therefore should be treated as any sequel for a game on Steam. Thus getting a whole new store page.

Please note. I do not and have not played any counter strike game. When I saw this was released I came to check it out. I was first confused by the release date and so many reviews still. So am just giving my 2 cents on the matter.

Because CS2 is an update for CSGO.
The same as Dota 2 Legacy has been updated to Dota 2 Reborn.

They have the Steam Deck categorized as a game and listed in all top-rated, so why does this scummy tactic come as a surprise?

also they remove threads that call for 'rvw bmbing' or 'byctts'

and they changed the steam review policy so that its harder for negative reviews to get attention,

absolutely bad faith and tyrannical behavior, sooo unprofessional

Yea, I get that. But it now becomes an artificial score. Especially since it is now has a 2 in the title. Its a sequel and no longer an expansion really.

Well, if it was only a next gen update and not a new game or wasnt overhauled. That makes sense if its not an entirely new game.

Well, they are allowed to advertise their own products and I get that. Its not going against their own policy with that one. However, its true none the less.
