Apparently this is more of a problem with the 7000 series then anything. People(like me) who are running a 6000 series are reporting 0 issues like the 7000 series cards are.

I disabled integrated graphics for the CPU in my bios and reinstalled the GPU drivers, and I haven't encountered this for 4 months now. I guess that did the trick in my case, at least.

rather old topic, but ever since i got back into cs in end of 2023 when csgo turned into cs2, i've had random crashes with nvidia aswell.

it always happened after certain patch/update and then it keeps doing it until new patch/update that usually fixes it .. or makes it worse.

i even had BSODs after certain updates, it kept doing it. i played daily and got like 3-4 BSODs per week. not a PC issue as i'm PC expert and everything in my windows is custom and i know every program i have.
i don't use default anything and i analyze the issues, it's 100% cs2 issue.
obviously it doesn't crash for everyone, but cs2 is picky about things, that's why it randomly happens. they fix one thing, but break something else.

if you're one of those who starts getting random crashes without having changed anything on your PC, then best you can do is report the issue to steam support and wait for patch.

however i doubt most people even know how to run their PC, 99% of players use default-everything, which is big issue. like automatic updates, you never know if it was due some update on your PC or if it's cs2 issue alone. that's why you should always turn all kinds of auto-updates off, this way there's less chance of something breaking. if you have auto-updates turned on for everything, then things constantly change and there's very high chance that something conflicts somewhere and starts crashing.

only thing you need to update, is game itself, turn off updates for windows, steam, graphics drivers ..etc.
you should only update graphics drivers manually via device manager when needed.
when needed = it's when some new game comes out and graphics drivers will have update that optimizes them for that new game, but as long as you playing games that were released before your current graphics drivers, then there's no need to update them, it won't improve anything.

in fact certain graphics driver version can cause crashes, that's why i never rush to download graphics drivers, cuz quite often devs miss things and release broken drivers. i always wait few months before updating graphics drivers. there's usually a lot of talk about broken drivers if this happens, so by not updating every time they release new version, i prevent any possible crashing issues. i first do research and check if current drivers are problematic or not.

biggest problem nowdays is that 99% of people think that updates = good, but that's other way around.

ONLY REASON why someone needs to constantly update their drivers or software, is because they are incompetent and have done bad job in previous update, so they need to constantly release updates to fix their previous mistakes.

constant updates are sign of extremely lazy and incompetent programming.

look at something like winamp or emule.
i've been using winamp version from 2013 and it never needs any updates, it never crashes, it just works.
emule is even older, latest version is from 2010 and it works flawlessly, there's no need for updating, because it's well programmed.

anyone thinking that updates are good, knows nothing about computers. this constant need for updating is misunderstanding and false information.
follow the old good saying "if it ain't broke, don't fix it"

if your PC runs fine, stop updating things. i have 20 year old laptop with xp on it, still works fine without any updates. the more you update, the higher the chance that you just break things that weren't broke before.

In some cases it’s because of the maximum clock speed of the gpu. While brands like sapphire say it shouldnt be above 2680 Mhz adrenaline sometimes puts it around 3000Mhz. If you change this in the adrenaline software to 2680 it should be fine
