what is this strange box on the left side of my screen?

there is a small box in the middle left of my screen that turns from dark grey to white whenever I click my mouse, it is there in game, in the menu, and even when opening cases. how do I turn it off?

It's Nvidia Reflex / Boost or whatever. Shows an indicator when you click to see if there's a delay. Can't remember if it's an in-game or a drivers setting.

Nvidia Experience. right click the Nvidia Experience app in your system tray (or ALT+Z in game). On that menu, hit the gear (settings) icon. Scroll to the bottom and choose "performance monitoring". Uncheck the "Always show Nvidia Reflex indicator".
