EDIT: Not sure why bunch of comments are gone on this page. Either folks removed themselves or got reported. I think its most likely the latter, so be mindful of what you post here... there are a lot of predators out there seeking validations simply by getting people banned...
this has been a lesson in bad faith business practices, just like with overwatch 1 and 2
you should make a petition link that people can sign and append it to your original post
Bullying tactics.
what i described is called totalitarianism, totalitarianism is evil, it is the pretense and arrogance of a few individuals who think they know best and decide to force their view of things on other people who are largely helpless to resist.
in the free market, when we want to make a version 2 of a product, otherwise known as a sequel, we make version 2 and leave version 1 around so that the consumers can decide for themselves which one they prefer, and if version 2 is any good, and even better than version 1, which hopefully it would, then we slowly phase out support for version 1, but we let it continue to exist in its own way so that even if there are a few people who prefer version 1, they can still get it. an update should be a certain upgrade or optimization, including patches and bugfixes, a sequel is an entirely different product that showcases new features that may not have been present in the previous game, what we got with cs2 is a sequel, not an update, but they handled it like an update and forced us to 'upgrade', this is tyrannical and indicative of a totalitarian attitude.
I vote for both as stand alone games for now.
