anyone else getting low GPU Usage in CS2?
When playing cs2 I am seeing as low as 25% GPU usage with a high of 50%. On top of that my FPS will drastically drop at times. going from 280 fps to as low as 180 fps. I am nowhere near the FPS is should be at with my rig at this low of a resolution. is anyone else having this problem?

here are my specs

GPU: RTX 3080 10GB

RAM: 32gb 4000Mhz Trident Z

CPU: i9 9900k

MOBO: Asus z390-e gaming

Resolution: 1280x960

yeah mate, iv got a 3070 and doing the same thing. Iv noticed if i load up a private game with no bots my gpu runs a 97% but as soon as i play online or add bots to a game it goes back down to 60% and starts to lag

Similar issues on
GPU:7900XTX
CPU:5900X(pbo between 4.6 and 5ghz)
RAM:a lot at 3200MHZ

Getting generally low usage, no CPU core is above 80% and GPU loafs around under 50%. Fps around 300. But the problem is the lag and stuttering.

Same issue, tried every solution I could think of/find. Nothing works. I came to the conclusion that the game is really poorly optimized and/or the nvidia drivers are not working properly.

I have an i5 12600k and Nvidia geforce 4070

I am almost 100% sure nvidia drivers are messing everything up right now. I think we have to wait for an update on either valves end or nvidias.

I am in private messing around with resolutions and bots to see whats causing it. Whenever I go near a bot or go into gun fight my FPS drops drastically dropping into the 100's at some points.

try upping the resolution
you might be running into the nvidia bug where the gpu is not being stressed hard enough and sits idle

Must be the full NVIDIA Experience.

I tested resolutions of 3840x1600, 2560x1400, 1920x1080, and 1440x1080. All had the same issue. The FPS would drop 40-50% whenever a gunfight was happening on screen as well as general FPS fluctuation when just traversing the map in different parts. This seems to be a problem of the game itself and not hardware related

weird
i have a 3070 my friend has a 3080
we never ran into outside of the first few days of the limited test where shaders had to be compiled
I assume your also running on an ssd?
ill post our settings see if it helps for you
in nvidia driver settings for CS2.exe
image scaling on
Anistrophic filtering application controlled
FXAA on
Antialiasing mode application controlled
transparency off
Background max frame rate off
CUDA GPUs all
low latnecy Mode off
Max frame rate off
g-sync on
MFAA off
Power managment prefer maximum performance
highest availible refresh rate
v-sync off
threaded optimization on

in game settings for CS2
resolution 1440p
boost player contrast ON
all setting low or off except
particle is set to high
high dynamic range set to quality
FidelityFX super reslution set to quality (you can leave this off if your not playing above 1080p)
reflex low latency set to on + boost

right click the CS2.exe and check disable full screen optimizations

What fps and GPU usage are you getting with all those settings because it didn't work for me
I am still sitting at 20% GPU usage and like 140 fps whenever I get into a game.

around 350-400fps avg
GPU usage fluctuates between 60% to 99% depending on whats happening on screen.

That is so bizarre.
What are your other specs if you don't mind?
RAM, CPU, etc.
Also do you have any special power settings in Windows or NVIDIA?
I really want to get to the bottom of this since a lot of people are having my issue.
