Half Life 1 - CS mod 1.4 (No Source) = Best version of CS ever created !

It is outdated now, but if that Cs mod 1.4 could get up to date, then this game would become flawless

What I personal miss in this game is the fast paced shooter elements this game used to have !
it is ruined by all the nerfs on the weapons, malfunction of quickswitch and movementpenalty´s

Lets hope the game developers will change that in the future, so the game become closer to the vanilla CS again .. the Era that made counterstrike one of the worlds most played games only beaten by world of warcraft, DAOC and everquest ..

CS2 made a lot of things to be better, but the 3D graphic CS2 has makes the game unplayable.

Honestly? CS2.

Took a bit of tweaking to get my settings right and the interpolation/peekers advantage is an issue that needs fixing, but I'm a big fan of the new smokes and the graphics improvements are nice. Premier/ the ranking changes are also a welcome addition as it will stop everyone playing Mirage, forcing greater map variety (especially useful for new maps being added into the map pool) and the progression generally feels better. Gunplay and movement feel the exact same to me. I was playing both without issue with some friends who have the beta and some that don't. If you're feeling a difference, it's probably a settings/PC issue.

Biggest problem I have right now is the player skill disparity. Playing with randoms is now even more of a coin flip than usual. The amount of players without mics and who refuse to listen is through the roof. As are the players who all think they're simple. The amount of players who refuse to plant bomb and refuse to play as a team while insta dying AND being toxic is absolutely insane right now. I love having 40+ kills in a game, losing the match, and being responsible for every single bomb plant on our T side.

It's like all the hard stuck silvers who had average mechanical skill but zero brain have all been unleashed into the higher ranks right now in CS2.
