The Silver ranks are in a complete state of disarray.

I've been grief deranked out of gold by trolls who level up just to derank people down by throwing games and team killing, and somehow they still haven't been kicked by the system after killing 3-4 of their teammates. On top of it the blatant smurfing is absolutely disgusting.

The ease of acquiring new accounts leads to players having 3-4+ new accounts daily. Smurfing is rampant. It is not an exaggeration to say that 3/4 games have a smurf in them. At that point, it's a 50/50 shot on whether the smurf is going to be on your team or the other. If you check the top fragger in a game, so much of the time it's an account with no other games, no profile picture and ~30 hours played. You can't be any more obvious than being 37-8 on Dust 2 with 11 hours played. Give me a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ break. I have been brick ranked for a month and a half now and I can't get out of this hell.

Smurfing is a thing but not as big as you think. To say 3-4 every game is just untrue.
Often its better players. One thing people fail to understand is that not every new player to CS is new to shooters.
Many new players are capable of skipping silver ranks and gold nova.
You just end up with them as they go through the process.

I must reiterate the first point before it sidetracks.
Smurfs are a thing, but not that many.

It's not even that, the smurfing is completely out of control on CSGO/2. Dota 2 has the smurfing problem under way of being under control now. CSGO needs to have the same punishment towards these players who smurf.

Smurfing in that of itself is completely disruptive and ruins the match making brackets because it throws the system finder out of wack. This is also the reason most SBMM fails a lot on other games.

its going to reset with cs2 anyways
so just keep grinding your gameplay to not end up in the same spot again.
but in cs2 u will have multiple chances, as there is then a rank per map.

its extremely hard to get silver.
thats why the most ppl that manage to get there are the trolls.

I haven't gotten a new rank in a while, whether I lose or win. I've been rank-locked, personally, for almost a month. The system is broken again because I can't get out of the elo hell I am in to fix the issue at all.

the thing is,
the griefers u get in your team, have the exact same chance to end up in the enemy team aswell.
that should alrdy get u some wins by default.

maybe a thing u can try,
only play mirage, inferno, dust2.
the actual players should be there. maybe u can sort some trolls out with that.
i can imagine only big brains are in silver office matches.
u should also go for long matches.

im pretty sure by doing such things u can lower the griefer rate.

most ppl that talk about elo hell are just really bad.
are u sure about ur confidence, whilst your last 2 wins u only participated with 2 kills in the whole match?
it doesnt look good even in the matches that ure winning (aka no griefing teams).
in the last 20 games, u only hold your weight in one of them.
im very confident you can increase your impact.

pick the real maps on long match.

Yea I hate those maps 😭😭😭 but yea I have started playing long matches lately, the quality of teammates and enemies have improved as well shockingly enough, but it's discouraging to be stonewalled at the rank I'm in while everyone else is ranking up even with 0 kills my team gets ranked up...

just dont look at rank when ure silver, just play the game for the games sake.
get more frags, and start to bash some silvers.

i highly suggest training this map, with no taps, just 3-5-10 bullet bursts.
u spray max 3-5-10 bullets to head height, whilst still making sure to hit body if u miss.
activate the bullet impact button ( the red squares ).
u can also search steam workshop for fast aim and take the one that looks the same.
beating silvers isnt that hard once u can kill in 5 bullets.

and once u feel better, u can play deathmatch too.
its unfun as hell, but its usefull.

if u like cs, get some skill for the cs2 reset to get a bunch of new placements if that picture bothers u the most.
but enemies dont get easier with that.
but theres not really a difference in nova or silver, u can also get nova if u want for sure.

Honestly I don't even know how to use those custom maps. I dony download anything workshop wise for this game but thanks for the tips. I'm very familiar with GN ranks and the kind of players in it. Sadly, shockingly enough I find GN easier to fight against than silver players.

Sometimes it's harder to play against Silvers because of how unpredictable they can be, it's not smurfing just them being completely chaotic, that's most likely why on GN level you are better because the enemies are more consistent with their strats

Deathmatch is the easiest game mode in the entire game cause its basically just a cod mode. Its fun as hell though, but there are the matches where you run into cheaters as well cause it's not locked behind a competitive prime ranking.
