Stattrak knives worth less?
Wondering if anyone can explain why a rarer and arguably cooler knife is less expensive than its non stattrak counterpart in almost every case? While gun skins are often more expensive when stattrak why aren’t knives? M9 vanilla is like 1300 while it’s stattrak version is 1100-1200.

For most knives the the stattrak number looks like a bad scratching on the blade. I like the stattrak on dull and dark finished knives scorched/safari mesh/black laminate etc but for the most part it detracts for the blade finish.

A stattrak on knife is displayed as carved numbers instead on a small display (the case on gun skins), and that kind of breaks the finish on many knives. Yes stattraks are rarer, but if they are uglier, then many people (like me) are not willing to pay for the extra.
Then why wouldn’t they be the same rather than much less?

Because the demand is extremely low and they are very hard to sell.

the numbers scrape off colors off your blade.

In the case of vanilla knives and the fact that some knives have the scratches only on inspect side is this the same?

I personally love stattrak knives. Who doesnt want to see the number of n00bs they killed with it everytime they look at their blade? I don't understand people

Not every knife kill makes the victim a noob. Stop thinking you're a god.
