GPU turning off in-game
Hello. I think I have an unusual condition. The thing is that since all players got access to the beta, I have had a huge problem with the game. During the game, my graphics card (RTX2060) literally turns off and then the game immediately crashes and the only thing I can do is turn it off using the task manager. What's more interesting is that when you "cut off" the graphics card, the game still reserves RAM and the processor still works as if the game was normally active. I have already reinstalled the game several times, update the drivers for everything, I also tried to change the game settings, resolution, display mode or run the game with startup commands and nothing helped me. Has anyone had something similar or found a solution?

Looks like a temperature problem.

its SOURCE 2 ENGINE TRASH problem AND NOT THE TEMPERATURE.

Stopy crying if you don't have anything to add.

sounds like a dying gpu or a bad gpu overclock

it could be also the psu not providing enough power,i had the same issue,if you upgrade ur gpu you need to check if your psu is compatible

wouldn't that trigger the psu over current protection and shut down the entire pc then?

nah, just undervoltage or dips on 1 line to the GPU can cause crashes.

I will also add the fact that I am currently playing on a Lenovo Legion laptop with this card and on an external monitor, so when it comes to the power supply, I cannot change it. The temperature on the card during full load (i.e. practically the entire time the game is on) is at a constant temperature of about 75 degrees. Overclocking and undervolting were also not done. The best thing is that in August, when I was in the closed beta, the game worked stably and no such things happened. I also wonder if switching to Vulcan will change anything?

alright that rules out the power supply
so it seems we may be looking at a driver error or dying gpu.
on a desktop whenever a gpu crashes the screen goes black and the gpu will go into safemode until a reboot,

my guess is for whatever reaon the laptop is losing the gpu which crashes the game and then falling back to the igpu .

have you played any other games or used any other software that stresses the gpu like cs2 does.

It’s probably your overclock. I’ve had a very similar issue but after disabling my overclock it stopped crashing. It’s not your fault just the game. My overclock works just fine with any other game and I’ve never had an issue

Go to event viewer and check warnings details, basically all errors are monitored there.

If some file is missing it would say in there same for drivers etc:

Also device manager can say if something wrong with components like gpu , cpu , ram , Internet etc.

Maybe firewall settings blocking game?

Make sure game is added to nvidia panel , try downloading nvidia profile inspector on github and set game correctly, like max performance , 10 gb shaders , correct gpu , correct frame count , you can also experiment with other settings in there.

(Enable developers mode for more settings. )

Make sure it says correct monitor is enabled for game to use.

In game make sure it runs full screen .

Delete all csgo 2 steam console commands , and type -high

But if gpu turns off literally then for sure event viewer and device manager has logs with details as of why. I know because I have them.

I still play PoE and FS 22, but they probably use more CPU
