CS2 Suddenly "Not Responding"
I'm currently having an issue where the game stops responding in the task manager randomly whilst playing. This has happened quite often this past week and i have done quite a lot to try fixing it.

- Updating GPU Driver.
- Updating Windows.
- Disabled OC/XMP.
- Reinstalling CS2.
- Used/removed launch commands.
- Clean install of windows.
- Clean install/Repair of DX/Visual C++.
- Verify integrity of game files.
- Checked for faulty hardware. (None)
- Checked for conflicting software. (None)
- Cleaned cabinet for dust + new thermal paste.
- Disabled overlays / Hardware Acceleration
- Run Win 8 Compatibility mode

But none of this has worked, it still freezes at random.

‣Windows 10 Pro
‣GTX 1070 8GB
‣16GB RAM @ 1600MHz (40% usage @ Freeze)
‣i5-4690k @ 4GHz (60% usage @ Freeze)

EDIT: Temp fix found for my issue.
Reset DX Shader Cache via Disk Cleanup.
Then Disable Nvidia Ansel with "NVIDIA profile inspector".

If you want help with it, you might wanna specify what OS and version you are on.

Still no fix, Funplay.pro suggestions did not work for me.
I have contacted Steam support with all the info i can possibly give them.
Got little to no help back.
If i find a fix i will post it here immediately.

EDIT: - Disable Nvidia Ansel - Temp Fix https://steamcommunity.com/app/730/discussions/0/3881597531962545820/

Same for me, game crashes at random times. Sometimes i have 3 hrs session with no problems, sometimes it's 5-10 times during one match.

I have the same problem, sometimes I can play for 3 hours, other times I can't play a round without it crashing. I thought my pc had problems, but apparently not.

try putting command -threads x (x = here you put 1 more than your actual cpu threads, i think it's called that) like for example i have i3-4150 with 4 threads i put -threads 5 and it worked, the game doesn't crash no more. I don't know if it will work with AMD processor though

Universal method
This method will work with every version of Steam.
Copy the following text:
steam://open/console

Open your web browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, etc.).

Paste the text into the address bar and press enter.

Confirm opening the link in Steam if your browser asks.

Steam should open the console tab.

Console launch option method
This method isn't preferred and is likely harder to do! It's also operating-system dependent.

You will need to close Steam first.

Depending on your operating system, the steps you need to take will be different. You need to find the executable for Steam (a file named "steam.exe" on Windows and "steam" on Linux), and run it using a command-line with one of the two following command

Running the precompilation
Copy the following text:
shader_build 730

Click on the command box, which is a text box.

Hold Control and press V. This pastes the text.

Press enter. Your console should now look like this.

Open Counter-Strike 2 and run around in a practice game for a few minutes.

Go get a coffee or a snack and let Steam build your shaders.

Enjoy your better performance.
