They are trying to identify if you are a hard carry .
Comp will purposely put you in terrible or hard situations to see how you respond.
Really good players will just win anyway.
Well if that was the case I should have had team mates with simillar mmr as the enemy team, and that would be fine anyways, but when my whole team has an average of 4k and their team has an average of 6k thats totally unfair
Some of those players may be in 'loser' lobbies- for people who have somehow ranked higher than they should-- so the game is trying to lower them.
Some may be in the opposite situation and need a boost because they are overperforming in their rank.
The number you see is their rank sure, but the matchmaking takes into account all sorts of things in comp- not every person in the same rank will actually play the same in a real scenario
Matchmaking has to handle all of that.
“ Really good players will just win anyway.” is just stupid logic. How you think that is beyond me. It’s a team based game. If a team is playing how they should be. It doesn’t matter how ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ good a player is.
