Whats with these new players not using mics?
So Ive noticed theres alot of new players, who've either bought accounts or maybe inherited them from their older relatives, and they dont use their mics. This gets annoying because they dont share info from their side of the map and it can cause havoc on t side if someone kills them from behind another player and they can not trade. Should the admins force players to use their mics? Or at least make it a prerequisite to have a working mic in order to play?

I think maybe some of the new players are really young possibly even 10-12 years old and they dont want to use mics, to avoid creepos, but sure thats fine. I think a majority of the new players are not that age, and can step out of their comfort zones to contribute to the team.

On faceit or esea it is unheard of for a teammate not to have, or use their mics.

Shouldnt premier or mm hold the same standard, if CS2 wants to elevate gameplay?

Why should we even bother using a mic in such a toxic game. Wanna communicate play with friends not with randoms. Or get in a discord group and search some people over there. Options enough but forcing people to do stuff is never the way

The point is its a team game, if theres no communication it creates a disadvantage in sharing info for tactical reasons.

There is a chance that you bump into a 3-4 player party who is communicating in Discord between each other; thus, the in-game voice is silent.

Even though, I agree with XhizorBE: the game is too toxic. You might want to play with utmost efficiency in mm, but there always will be a lil bro from russia who cannot understand English, a guy with the least damage dealt who tries to give orders and come up with tactics, a chatty person who might give you info/advices while you try to listen for the nearby steps. I'm not saying that all the parties are like this, but it is a pure roulette.

I understand the frustration, but a big issue with counterstrike at least on european servers that the lobbies are filled with non english speakers. Or people that refuse to speak english

I seen it over and over in my games, the main reason why i never played it seriously to begin with. We need more regio servers for our own specific region. The community in cs might be big, but its a mess to be honest

I use Radio instead of Mic myself for three reasons:

- Radio text appears in local language of whoever sees it afaik.
- Callouts appear in radio text and I can't always memorize ALL of them.
- They're useful with the marker beacon.

Just turn off voice some hours and play, and see why they dont use mic.
