Is it okay to cheat in CS2
If not, why are so many people doing it?

It's just a way of self-assertion for people who can't achieve anything on their own.

Shooters are games that is appealing to low lifers, its different for other sorts of games. I don't encounter that many cheaters in games about true tactics or that requires some intellect.

Also latelty i'm starting to play shooters in a pve environement, got way more fun out of it. Games with pvp and in the shooter genre is mostly filled with edge lords

Its because there are many insecure people - they are probably super fat or have very small ♥♥♥♥♥ and they want to stroke their ego cause they think they are "good". They lack the ability of self reflection and are often at the lower end of the IQ scale.
There is not much you can do about them. They will get a ban or one point or another.
The only problem is, that there are many of these people.

Its pure statistics: Half of the population of the world is below the average. Below average is stupid. They somehow want to compensate for their lifes and want to experience how it is not to be a loser, at least once in their lifes.

I mean, there kind of is. If Vac actually catches you, you get banned and lose your inventory (lots of stupid people out there cheat with expensive inventories). The game is free to play, but you need to pay for prime to actually get the full experience, and there's a price on that. So cheaters who get caught need to create another account and then buy prime again, or buy another account. It's minor, but there is a consequence.

Small price to pay it seems, but even in games not free to play, like tarkov, looser still cheats like hell and if and when they get banned is 29.99 e so on...

It would be fantastic a system that melt the cheater gpu when they get banned instantly ehehehehe

People cheated back in 2015 when it was like 15/20 (on sale 4), so people really don't care about spending a bit of money to cheat.

Most are bought PR21 accounts anyway (got prime free) which are super easy to spot and it's much cheaper to buy one than it is to create one yourself

this is something cheaters don't realize either, most of these cheats install on the kernel level and literally give the cheat makers full access to your computer. There's a tarkov youtuber that exposed a cheat maker and a bunch of cheaters by cheating himself on an alt account and he slipped up somewhere and they were able to figure out his client and nuked his computer.
