Same situation here. My mic worked perfectly in the game since the beta, until, after last week's updates, it simply stopped.
The microphone remains normal in everything else, Windows, Discord, and Steam itself, except in CS2.
I also tried another different microphone, the problem persisted. I tried all the possible solutions listed here, but all without success.
I had no alternative other than to simply send an email reporting the problem to Valve, and I hope that they are aware of the problem and fix it as soon as possible.

Firstly, thank you for the reply and information, I really appreciate it. (Even though I have already tried this method)

Well, I think I found the "solution" (if you can call it a "solution"). The story is long... I spent the last two nights racking my brain over this problem, not trying to find the solution, but at least trying to understand why this problem occurred (I just couldn't admit that something so simple wasn't working .)
The conclusion was the following: my current microphone is mono, and the onboard audio options on my motherboard do not have a single channel option, only a dual stereo channel. As a consequence of this, in some software, one side is muted, while the other side sounds normally.
All software and games that use the microphone for communication automatically realize this situation and pull the correct channel for audio output. With the exception of cs2... ohh cs2... it simply selects the channel that has no audio at all, ignoring the correct channel, and if that wasn't enough, there is simply no option to configure and correct this within the game that could Manually select the correct channel.
Therefore, some people have started using third-party software like voicemeeter to force single-channel mono audio on dual-channel platforms.
In my case, I tried to use voicemeeter for this, but unfortunately it didn't work due to some incompatibility issue.
So the solution in my case was: either buy a stereo microphone (as I'm unemployed this isn't an option at the moment), or the other alternative I had, which also worked, was to use an external sound card (one of those cheap USB ones) just for the microphone.

It's simply ridiculous, a shame that a billion-dollar company like Valve can't develop a simple configuration menu dedicated to the microphone in the game.

I was one of those who most defended this game when it was in the beta, when everyone was rejecting it, but it is more than obvious that this game was released in a hurry before its time, as the game's BASIC functions are still missing.
