Solo-queue, a nightmare that could be a dream

After many months away from Counter-Strike I finally got back into it again with CS2. In general I really like what Valve did with the game, and I see a bright future for the game.

There are however some major issues, which in my opinion is long standing issues. I don't have friends online all the time, which means I can't play with a full team all the time. I also really like meeting new people, so in reality, I don't mind solo queuing. However the last 10 games have left a very sour taste in my mouth...

I don't care about race, ethnicity or which country you are based in. I only care about teamwork, coordination and having fun together. I'm not getting any of those things from Premier solo queue right now. I get grouped with eastern Europeans all the time, and they refuse to coordinate everything. I have yet to meet one person who actually responds to what I'm saying.

I know I'm not at the best ELO being ranked at around 4.000 points, but I cannot progress to 5.000 because I loose 2 out of 3 games all the time because I'm basically playing death-match with 4 randoms who can't or won't work together and is force buying every round. The problem is we are being pitted against teams who actually smokes stuff, trades kills and work together... It is so damn frustrating!

Solo-queue is dead to me. I need to be able to pick what region I want to play with. Also, I don't think you should be able to play Premier without a microphone. Full stop. It don't make any sense to do so. There is the more casual game modes if you want to just relax and have fun. If the most common thing for Russian players for instance is to play Premier without a mic while acting like it's death-match, then I want an option to opt out of the region all together.

0000-4500 is the absolute worst that is where most beginners with just a couple of hours played are at. You lose points after you reach 4000+ and the struggle is to 5000+ because somehow the system got to be calibrated ''FEELS BUGGED AND UNFAIR SINCE YOU PLAY 10 MATCHED TO GET PLACED'' once you reach 4000 AND will make you lose -500 for once loss.. I think I lost somewhere around 1500-2000 points before I finally reached 5k+ and it calmed down so that I lose only -100 instead of -500 for ONE loss.. The system is meant to be -100 or +100 and it increases if you lose or win more than once, -500 at once is 100% unfair. It was mad unrewarding to win 4-5 games and then lose it all by losing one game.

This is so demotivating... The game can only be played with a group then. It really is a joke of a system.

Just gotta keep playing, was at 3000 elo and was only getting +100 per win.. When I got to 4000 I lost 1 game and lost 560, meanwhile I have been top fragging every game. Climbed my way back up, sitting at around 4500 now, and the win loss is pretty even -120/+105... Also have won my last 12 out of 13 games, 80% of them I solo queued or was with one buddy who only has a few hundred hours... Just have to grind to get to ranks.

I thought the ranking system was pretty bad too, but honestly they just make you work for it.

In Dust2 i have 21 wins in a row...easiest games of my life but no rankup🤣
