It always depends on how valve has set up their game and login servers!
When looking for a game, a login/lfg-server looks for a team and then connects you to a game server! This login-server doesn't care about your firewall settings, it can't read them either, so it will try to connect you to the "russian" server it has found. And you know what happens then? YOU cap the connection to the game server because it's russian and then the valve server that tried to connect you thinks you've abandoned the game! In comp this can be serious, so all the advices here using a firewall are all crap and quite harmful. So Almora, good idea you have there! You block game servers, you get sanctioned pretty quickly, simple

There is no russian server lol, that's the problem. They have no server so they are routed to EU servers :/
