When is the case drop reset?

Hi,
I see some posts that say the case drop resets every wednesday or thursday depending on your location like this website timer: https://josh3d.com/csgo/

And others say is a cooldown or 7 days from your last case drop. (I saw a video from TDM_Heyzeus, I think, but I can't find it)

Players now get a weapon case with their first weekly XP rank up, rather than after some amount of (idle) playtime.

3 dropped last month (May 17-24) for me. It's been a while since I got 3. I usually get 2.
