CS:GO gambling and money laundering problem.
:d2lonedruid: It's time to do something about it.
No joke, Valve keeps getting away with these things scott free, meanwhile pubg and overwatch were forced to remove their loot boxes and make their skins untradable.

I don't see a reason why Valve wasn't forced to make their skins untradable.
Those cases are clear promotion for gambling and kids who play this game are exposed to it.

As for money laundering, I am sure all of you are aware of the blue gem ak that got sold for 400k, now if that doesn't scream money laundering, idk what does. Funny how all these youtubers with 10k worth of skins keep saying that it isn't, while they themselves are doing it. Going around and selling their pixels for the absurd amount of money. They are denying it cause they know they are apart of the problem and that what they are doing is illegal and would end up in jail. They remind of me of Tmartn or whatever his name is, lying about not owning that cs site he used a lot. I thought people would finally learn from that incident to not trust what these people say. They all don't care about the game, just skins and nothing more.

It's sad that some people are oblivious to this issue and act like nothing is wrong here, gambling promotion and money laundering being all in one. I hope some of you open your eyes and see what this game has become. Don't support it.

Sounds like a lot of assumptions

It's probably true to some degree but it's the governments job to fix it.

I agree with this thread.

gambling website owners, admins and promoters should be banned from csgo

This topic isn’t about third party sites, what do you mean by this?

That is NOT what is being referred to. The OP is talking about case opening, not third part sites.

he is obviously talking about 3rd party websites, not just case openings. Unboxing isnt harmful as much as gambling websites

also how tf do you think people buys those skins that worth thousands of dollars? nobody uses steam to do that
Titus May 29, 2023 @ 12:18pm
Why do you assume it is money laundering? And not just rich people having fun with money / making investments.

No he isn’t, he clearly mentioned cases. Not to mention valve isn’t responsible for third party site.

They are able to trade the skins because they are tradable, that’s what op is talking about. Making the items not tradable.

thats alot of assumptions.

To counter the last bit : ive bought all my skins on steam market so there goes your theory of nobody doing it.

Valve would have to greatly increase market and Steam balance caps before they enforce a ban on third party websites. I am not sure if this would be a good change for Valve, or if it would be a legal nightmare.

that all doesnt make sense .
What do steam balance caps have to do with enforcing a ban on third party sites.
Valve already discourages the use of 3rd party sites , its in the steam tos for instance.
What do you mean by legal nightmare ?
