It's a shame what happened to csgo major tournament items.

I remember the older csgo majors had capsule sales on the same weekend and or sundays on majors finals to use the ongoing major hype to sell more capsules. With sales ending after a single week.

Fast forward a few years aprox stockholm/rio/antwerp/paris all these majors Valve seems to wait an entire week after the major has concluded to start selling their champions sticker capsule for full price and then around 1-2 weeks later Valve starts the -75% sale. And that sale runs for aprox 2 months...

In the good old days Valve had major sales going for a week and that's it. Back then stickers where something more rare, more special and more desired.

It's a real shame what major items have become nowdays. The past 5 csgo majors have felt like cheap copy & paste tournaments.

I mean we all know money is important but does it need to be this extreme?

I've completly lost my interest to invest or even use these stickers ingame anymore. Maybe I'm just getting old...

But hey at least we've got cs2 around the corner, the savior...

I really hope Valve reworks their current counterstrike major approach for the first cs2 major in 2024.

Oh and while I'm at it. The csgo major pickems need a serious overhaul. Getting 7 or 8 points in the pickems feels super bad.
