Souvenir Tokens from old Majors

What happens when I buy an old viewer pass with 3 tokens from an old major on the steam market and activate it ingame?
Pretty sure I will receive the bronze coin, but what happens to the 3 tokens?
Can i use them to redeem souvenirs from that major long after it's over?
There must be some use to them since the past major viewer passes with 3 tokens are much higher valued on steam market than the ones without tokens.

Nope. For the paris major its stated that you can only redeem tokens till 30th june. Iam pretty sure that limited was in the previous majors too.
