CSGO is far away from a dead game, I would say that the game is still growing, especially after they announced the Source 2 engine coming this summer. A few weeks ago CSGO broke another all time record of concurrent players of 1.8 million. You can check the current player counts of games in the store drop down which says "Stats".

Don't think it will die out the game it self but the esport pro league it's starting to die out, it's not the same hyper anymore like it was before. The game it's self won't die out for a long time. I think it will grow more BC of the source 2 engine they can make more advanced stuff for operations and stuff like that.

Sure the csgo scandals are huge and mostly killed the esport :(
