Alot of people think that Counter-Strike is a unique franchise and the first of its kind, but what if I told you that Counter-Strike is actually a copycat of another lesser known game?

That game is called Valorant, you may have heard of it before. If you look at all the similarities between these two games you will notice that CSGO is pretty much a carbon copy of that game. Valve basically just copied everything from Valorant and got the spotlight as the more popular game. Valorant is a game that is far more enjoyable than CS:GO. This is because it is a far more complex game, and it is a far more competitive game. It is also far less frustrating than CS:GO. CS:GO is a very simple game that is designed to be easy to play. Another thing that I would like to bring up is that Gaben accidentally admitted that CSGO copied Valorant, in an interview he stated that "CS:GO is sort of our watered down take on it." They weren't even trying to hide the fact that they copied Valorant and that becomes apparent when you look at the work that they did to try and prevent it. These were all simply to stop the lawsuits from going forward and that is what they did. Many of us agree that CSGO is pretty damn close to Valorant.

Anyway, this all comes down to one thing. When you take a look at all of this, it comes down to that Valorant is a better game than CS:GO, and Valve is doing a terrible job at trying to cover up that fact. While it would probably be an easier feat to try and block it all down and argue about how it is better than it is, the fact is that Valorant is a better game. It was developed by a huge gaming company, Valorant has almost 6.2 billion players, and there are many more people who have played the game.

While it is true that Counter-Strike existed since 1999, Valorant actually is older than that. Valorant was announced in 1998 and has been in development up until its release in 2020.

Valorant's artstyle is actually more deep and complex than Counter-Strike's. Valorant depicts a more gritty and realistic tone while Counter-Strike has its more vague and colorful artstyle. Valorant is much more gruesome in terms of the environments and what they depict while Counter-Strike's environments are more simplistic, sci-fi, and brightly colored. Counter-Strike also depicts its characters as more digitally hand-painted while Valorant goes with a more realistic approach.

False, Valorant was announced a year prior to Counter-Strike upon which the creators of Counter-Strike decided to copy the idea and make their own game based on it.
