Rtx 3070 Laptop with Ryzen 9 5900HS Going from 160fps to 30ish
What in the actual **** is wrong with this game? Is it the fact that it's an ancient game? Dx9 the culprit? I have no problem getting 130fps stable in MW2 this is unacceptable.

Cpu is Ryzen 9 5900HS. This is literally the only game giving me problems. I play switch games, wiiu games, ps3 games, MW2, Cyberpunk 2077, Rust, etc... this just doesn't make sense.
I have a desktop with 2080super and i7 9700k that has no issues like this.

It's not a me problem as when googling it, other 3070 users are complaining about the same thing. I just can't find a definitive fix for it.

possibly heat? laptops heat too much. try too have it in cool envorment

hahaha something is broken! haha I got an 8 year old PC and I get like 170-200 fps. I got a GTX 960 and fx-6300 cpu.

I agree about heat. I can tell ya my cooling system is air cooled and far better optimized than any basic water cooled system. Yeah, my x4 5000rpm fans are loud but damn do they dreaw air so much better than water cooling does.

But then again I overclock, with avereage 40c temps.

Expect the inside of your laptop is melting due to it being a laptop by design.

airflow airflow! Airflow is so simple but a huge factor for performance. I have literally outlined this before and no one wants to listen to me.

Guys the issue was my laptop wasn't plugged in. The performance is really only GREAT when plugged in.
