CS2 + OBS Window Capture
Trying to use OBS window capture to capture CS2 footage (game is windowed mode obviously). If I use automatic method it's just a black screen and a cursor. If I use Windows 10 Capture method, it's a stuttery mess (on OBS. Game is running fine) and jumping back a few frames randomly. This stutter also occurs if I use display capture. I can't find anyone else who has had this problem online. CSGO works just fine with window capture. Does anyone know how I can fix this? I REALLY don't want to play untrusted to use game capture.
BTW I have a 144Hz monitor with VRR, but VRR is disabled for CS2.

The only way is playing untrusted but it's insignificant since you are not using cheats, counter strike make it that way because at some point you can use cheats with a simple mouse or keyboard, so for an external app that record the game you will need to allow the third party software. Don't worry it doesn't matter, have friends playing on Global and they don't have any issue while ranking!

add " -allow_third_party_software " to the steam launch options (in properties) and it will work with game capture.

Try to set "Multisampling Anti-Aliasing Mode" to "None" and use "-allow_third_party_software ". It works for me

Holy smokes, that finally worked out. I tried everything before that and all the options were useless. Thank you so much, appreciate it!

Go to 'game preferences' and add -allow_third_party_software to the launch options

Then search your pc for 'graphics settings' and open - make sure 'desktop application' is selected and click 'browse', then search for OBS studios in your program files - open OBS-studios, bin, 64bit, and Obs64. then you should see it listed as a graphics device - click on OBS Studio, open 'options' , and select 'high performance' - save and done

Lastly make sure you 'run as administrator' when you open OBS and your problem should be solved
