italy and inferno looks fabulous, I wish they were real. Maps in cs2 made me realize how soulles, dark and outdated csgo graphics was.
Brightness is a bit too much tho and some skin and sticker textures looks too metallic and matt but thats just all.
I think the main reason most people did not like it is because they are not used to it.
cs2 fixed an issue that csgo had and to be fair still has, visibility of enemies, that alone makes the visuals of cs2 superior to anything that csgo presents.
In artistic terms, I really like it. I don´t know if it´s fair for me to judge the game in terms of "reality" since it´s a competitive game and seeing your enemy is more important than having realistic camo, for example.
that's already there, they have the film grain shader etc that's used for smoke and stuff like that
it constantly screws up and looks horrible and amateurish, but nobody cares because you're all too busy inspecting your purple awp while you miss all your shots
