1 Vote Surrender and stopping a 4 man from queueing is ridiculous. That's like COD level 'sensitivity' that just hurts the competitive aspect of the game. Russians were being mean to solo queues in silvers? Then find some other way to fix it than preventing 4 mans at all levels of play. All it does is forces higher ranked quad teams to find silvers in 'Looking to Play' who then perform like ass and get bullied the entire game before getting boosted to a rank they don't deserve. Really solving the problem there Valve.
And the COD shooting is off the wall right now. People are just running around with SMGs because of the netcode. Holding an angle, a pretty important part of CS, is just no longer part of the game.
These are just the types of changes that the CS community don't want. "Oh but, but new players will like it!!!" New players will just play the games that do these things better already. Counter Strike has had a monopoly over competitive shooters for years because of what it, specifically, does. Changing it "for new players" will kill the game long term.
1) Winning 3 mans, even as high as LE isn't impossible. I've done it numerous times before.
2) More importantly, it only becomes a 3 man if one player LEAVES and gets a BAN.
If one player doesn't want to play anymore in a 4 man, he still is forced to play until the end of the game. If he decides to leave, he gets a ban. If he griefs, he'll hurt his trust factor. Same with going AFK. So no, it's not about playing the rest of the game as a 3 man. It's letting someone end the game early in a 4 man. Which I can easily see someone doing whenever someone rages and starts getting whiny.
A single vote in a 3 man scenario would be fine. Not a 4 man.
