CS 2 is running poorly
Is CS2 not optimised yet? Even on lowest settings it runs on 70-150 fps (mostly below 100, rarely above) and even stutters sometimes. All other games run well, CSGO ran on 200+ on highest settings.

more demanding visuals requires better hardware. even if valve is able to optimize the game, it doesn't change that its visually more demanding than CSGO.

I suggest upgrading your graphics card. be thankful the pandemic is over and prices are back to normal. a year ago you would have had to pay $400 for a GTX 1070.

My friends with same or worse PCs run the game normally. I can run every game fine, even more demanding ones. And if my graphics card wasnt good enough why would it jump 70-150 fps randomly? Wouldn't it just be stuck at 70?

Ryzen 5 3600, GTX 1060 6GB, 16 GB ram, and the game is downloaded on a 500 GB SSD

update drivers
make sure your internet connection is stable
dont download things in the background while playing
dont install random stuff on your PC
run CC cleaner from time to time
make sure everything on your PC is exactly where its suppose to be (ram in in dual channel, GPU is functioning properly, cooler is properly attached to CPU, CPU has thermal compound, etc).

My CPU is running on a good temperature all the time, my drivers are updated, i didn't download in the background, and my internet connection is also stable, running at 12 MB/s all the time. Guess I'll try the CC cleaner, but i have my doubts about that helping me. Thanks for the tips tho, appreciated.

I found out that my SSD was almost full >50 GB left of space. I freed up about 100 gigs and it now seems to be running stable on 120 fps. Not ideal since i use a 144Hz monitor, but most certainly better than 70 fps. Thanks for the help
