At the moment there are enough people with wh in the game, but not so many with aimbot because it is easily detected.
I hope the developers will find a way to detect cheaters, maybe there will be an anti-cheat with the analysis of player patterns based on neural networks
Every FPS is infested with cheaters, best you can do is IP ban certain regions (you all know which ones) and hope they don't swamp back with VPN's.
As long as players can run software on their PC that can either inject into the game and/or control the aim, this cheating will not stop. The problem is that individual PCs are not secure to prevent the installation of cheats. The anti-cheat systems have their work cut out for them as the cheat programmers, who make a lot of money, usually only have to make slight changes to their code to go under the detection radar again. It's cat and mouse, and in this case, the mouse usually wins. You would need a very secure platform to ensure that cheats cannot be installed in the first place. Unfortunately, it doesn't exist outside of consoles. And frankly, consoles, as they exist today, are a non starter for me.
The cheating would likely decline more than a bit if there wasn't a skins economy where skin farmers and Valve (through transaction fees) make real money from selling them to what I would consider morons who would spend real money on a non-tangible skin that makes no difference in the game other than to peacock their own personal vanity, because everyting today is me me me! Then you have the sometimes obscene money that is made by streamers streaming their gameplay - another financial incentive to cheat. These two go together. Streamers often have skins. Streamers define what is acceptable and desirable to the often weaker people that watch them. Those people go out and buy the skins fueling the economy. Or they cheat to get their own.
Then you have individual players that cheat because they have no sense of honor or integrity. Many kids today don't know anything about honor or integrity since they were never told "no" or taught the importance of work (in this case, to improve themselves) or fair play by their parents. All sorts of behavior problems exist today that didn't exist just a few decades ago. Mind altering prescription drugs doled out like candy by the doctors. Kids are parented by the smartphone or the video game. GTA V is their guiding light. GTA V not really an ideal teacher for the weak minded.
There are also obsessed people. I've witnessed individuals who play this game as if it is the most important thing in life. They cannot handle losing. They cannot handle new players. They must win. They cheat.
You take all of this, and much more than can be explained or categorized here, ranging from the financial incentives for some to the obsession by others and honest players really have no chance. Cheaters will cheat and dominate. If you still care to play, you will not be competitive with them. Some will be obvious (like the guy that has the most kills and a 95 headshot percentage by the end of a match). Some will be less obvious (and will toggle their cheats on and off). Perhaps the best solution for honest people is to just boycott the game as nothing I or anyone else here can say will make a whit of difference.
TL:DR
Cheaters gonna cheat.
Though ye it feels like wild west right now, the amount of head shots the second I come into view means either it's put me in complete top tier of players despite not having played in like 10 years, or aimbots are just in mass use right now.
And actually, i do not want a better anticheat. Because i want bad behaving players (players who enjoy ruining other players game) to have a bad game experience with a lot of cheaters and griefers!!!
We need AI reviewing stats over time.
And for the people who say they don't, you are either very unaware of what cheating looks like, or you are the one doing the cheating.
There are cheaters in this game for sure though. Hell Premier mode is a cesspool of cheaters. I mean the top ranked people in Premier comp have 97% winrates over nearly 200 games. Even the pros don't get that kind of winrate, yet some random A-Hole from Brazil is sitting at a nearly perfect 100% winrate at almost 200 games and according to Premier is the best player in the game.
