CS2 Feels weird

Hey everyone,

I've got a question for you all. Is it just me, or does shooting in CS2 feel a bit weird? I used to be FaceIT level 10, and I reached Global Elite rank numerous times in CSGO. But about 2-3 days ago, I got my CS2 beta access, and I can't get rid off feeling that shooting in CS2 is somehow different, and I can't quite put my finger on why.

I mean, it's not like I've forgotten how to aim or control recoil. It just feels like something has changed, and I'm not sure if it's a matter of getting used to it or if there's actually something different about CS2.

Has anyone else experienced this, or am I just overthinking it?

CS2 has different animation and recoil pattern as per source 2 engine.

I just played it first time today. Does not feel like a skill game. Feels like some RAinbow 6 swat game. I could barly hit anything. Caracthers move slowly. Aim is off. Alot of flashing lights from bullets, smoke bullets, nades and stuff thats disturbing. But maybe thats what Cs go felt like aswell when it was new I dont know.

It feels different, yes. Especially the AK spray is something i can´t cope with anymore. But remember: It´s still beta and don´t forget how bad CSGO was when it was released. It was honed to this masterpiece over years. CS2 is no exception.

I think the movement feels/looks different because you are seeing more information on screen.
The same with the gun movement more info being seen by the user is throwing players off.
The aim and hit reg is much better in my opinion.

it does. i perform much worse in cs2 than i do in csgo. it was even worse before the recent update because i felt like i was getting shot behind walls every three seconds, though its a bit better since the update and im managing to win games.

sprays still feel weird and off and i still feel like the hitboxes are awful compared to go's, and my friend group has these same complaints. cant seem to hit anything when i do the same shooting tactics and all that i do in csgo

ended up getting a really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ cs2 rank, i believe it was 3700 something but now its almost 5k. when in csgo im mg1 and was mge less than a month ago

Recoil pattern is the same when it comes to GO being on original source engine and source 2, it's just the placebo effect thinking it's different.
